Southport Lions Website Wins Melvin
District Web Prize Won in 2005 and 2009!

 

There is nothing quite like it, the media mob descending upon winners of Tonys and Oscars, Baftas and Grammys, but, fortunately, nothing of the sort happens to the winner of the Melvin, District 105BN’s own media and IT prize.

 

The Melvin, which is handed on every year, has paid two visits to Southport, won firstly in 2005, and then in 2009, by earlier versions of this website. It currently lives in Penrith, to whose Webmaster we present our felicitations!

Winners of the Melvin include:

 

● Blackburn, who opened the list in 2002,

● Lancaster and Morcambe, who won in 2003, 2004, 2006 and  

   2007, and

● Littleborough and District, champions in 2008.

● Penrith, champions in 2010
