The reason: a celebration of the co-operation between Southport Lions and local Rotary Clubs to raise funds for the relief of distress following the Asian Tsunami. The event: the regular meeting of Southport Links Rotary held on the Centenary Day of Rotary International. All-told, four joint fundraising events were undertaken in the immediate aftermath of the devastation, which raised more than £15,000. ● For more details, please go to our special Tsunami page
